Omaha Council Bluffs Radio 70s and 80s Radio Commercials
Flashback to the 70s and 80s with short snippets from some radio ads of Omaha and Council Bluffs businesses that were popular in that era, and mostly now are gone. Peony Park, Musicland, Brandeis, Southroads, Homers, Sears and No Frills were just some of the advertising jingles we heard daily. Lots of recognizable voice talent on the spots as well, including Steve Brown, Tom Becka, Otis 12, Dick Warner, Carl Mann, Terry Mason, Bill Mattson, Paxton West and many more.

Radio Vision: Omaha NPR Broadcast 1982
The star of this video is the audio. The images are just to give your eyes something to do. Back in 1982, I lived in a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. I would often spend my free time taping from the local radio stations and one particular afternoon NPR had this show called "Radio Vision" and it was a montage of different performances. They're not really music but some of it is. I would definitely classify them as "avante garde" and in some cases fairly weird. I've had this tape since way back then and in some spots it shows its age. Mind you, it's a long listen at 18:50. The credits are given at the end using a device called a "vocoder" 16:45. Hope you're amused if not entertained. Thanks!
I'm pretty sure this was recorded on a Pioneer CT-F1250 cassette deck.
